Decrease minimum font size in Sublime Editor

Apparently I’m a nutcase for enjoying my Lucida Console 7pt font whilst coding. However, if you’re like me, you might have found that the current minimum size is 8pt. You can override, but whenever you use ctrl + and then ctrl – the settings is reverted back to 8.

To fix, open e.g. C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Sublime Text 2\Packages\Default\ (in your packages directory) and change lines #34 and #35 (the ones with 8) to 7.

Got to love how easy it is to modify Sublime.

February 2013 Update – Sublime Text 3 beta:

For the Sublime Text 3 beta, you will have to do one more step. On Windows, go to e.g. C:\Program Files\Sublime Text 3\Packages and then make a backup of Default.sublime-package before renaming it to . Then open the file, extract, make the changes, then put back into the archive, then remove the .zip extension. This worked for me
