I just upgraded my own blog at Bluehost; pretty painless thing, however rather than deleting, I simply renamed wp-includes and wp-admin to include an _ / underscore, then copied the files across and touched on the upgrade.php file.

One issue was that the maintenance mode plugin didn’t let me go to upgrade.php, so I simply renamed the plugin directory and I was fine.

The interface has undergone a huge change, the dashboard looks complete different with a much cleaner look.

In particular, image uploading has massively improved – and I’m sure I’ll find many more things to enjoy. In fact, for a much better write up, read Technosailer’s write up.

For any users of the Yichi Resurrection theme; if you had it working on the previous version (2.3) it works fine in the new.
