I have just discovered the Dojo DHTML and AJAX toolkit. It’s an absolutely great piece of work, and for someone who’s been hand coding the functions to perform asynchrous calls for creating dynamic web pages it looks like it can take a lot of the basic, mundane work away. At the same time, it should also increase stability which is always a good thing - lots and lots of hours have gone into testing the functions.

Furthermore I really like the html effects/ widgets, especially so the container functions that will allow for frames-like interface using Divs.
